New Testament Baptist Mission

Our work in Liberia is driven by a deep, strategic partnership with the New Testament Baptist Mission (NTBM). The foundational vision for this mission was sparked in 2002, when Pastor Jesse Quapourlee established the New Testament Baptist Church in Monrovia. Burdened by a clear calling to reach the entire nation for Christ, Pastor Jesse realized that widespread spiritual and community transformation required more than a single local church. To scale this vision, he founded NTBM as a distinct church-planting and educational engine, built on a simple yet radical premise: every newly planted church should also establish a Christian school to care for and educate the children of that community.

Though Pastor Jesse passed away suddenly in 2022, the indigenous framework he constructed was built to endure. Today, the mission is masterfully led by Pastor Myers and Pastor Samuel, our church-planting coordinator, who have successfully carried the torch forward. The heartbeat of NTBM remains its strict leadership pipeline—a practical roadmap where church members serve heavily as deacons for a minimum of two years. During this crucible of service, these deacons actively travel into various counties across Liberia to plant “preaching points” and establish home Bible studies. Only after they have proven they can successfully gather, shepherd, and lead a local group does the mother church officially commission them as pastors.

By utilizing this rigorous, locally owned multiplication system, NTBM has transitioned from its foundational days into an aggressive new era of growth. The mission has established a definitive, measurable target: to launch 100 self-sustaining, indigenous churches and Christian schools throughout Liberia. By using NTBM as the primary vehicle for our efforts, we are directly investing in field-tested Liberian leaders who are structurally equipped to transform their own nation, one community at a time.
